The Kraken Black Spiced Rum

An imported Caribbean rum blended with secret spices, The Kraken is bold, rich, black and smooth. Legend tells of a shipment of black spiced rum dragged beneath the waves by The Kraken, with the rum named in honour of the beast and its mysterious, inky darkness. Its distinctive bottle is a replica of a Victorian flagon, designed to be hung aboard ships to keep it from rolling.

Black and opaque in appearance, it opens with aromas of caramel, toffee and spice. Cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg follow on the palate, leading to a spicy, lingering finish.

Signature serve: The Perfect Storm
Pour over cubed ice, top with fiery ginger beer and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime.

The Kraken Black Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla

Inspired by tales of sailors carrying black cherries and Madagascan vanilla pods in an attempt to ward off The Beast, this expression tells the story of a lost barrel of spiced rum infused during a formidable Kraken attack. The result is a dark cherry and vanilla twist, ready to be savoured.

Dark amber with glints of purple and copper, it reveals aromas of molasses, toffee and black cherry. Deep cherry and caramel flavours meet sweeter notes of warming wood and vanilla, followed by a long, complex finish.

Signature serve: Kraken Cherry Cola
Mix 1 part Kraken Black Cherry & Madagascan Vanilla with 3 parts cola. Serve over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.
